OUR GUESTS SAY

"Amazing house in the trees! I would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking for a get away in the woods. It was like staying in a tree house for adults! We loved it!" - Adrienne

"Nestled into the woods and steps from the lake, this place was a wonderful place for a serene retreat! The check in process was seamless, the cabin was cozy and the hot tub was HOT! We built a fire in the fire pit every evening and enjoyed an afternoon of kayaking. We hope to return one day soon." - Tate

"This is one of my favorite AirBnBs I’ve ever stayed in! I felt like the hosts thought of everything someone might want for a cozy and relaxing weekend. One of the rooms even had a side table with outlets in it for charging devices at night (how many times have you been somewhere with too few outlets- not here!) We sat down by the water and watched the boats (great watching on a sunny 4th of July!), had a bonfire one night, and ate at the Grill House. It’s about an hour drive from St. Joseph so perfect for a little day trip if you want to do a little shopping. We went shopping in Paw Paw too and got some nice home decor to take home. If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded cabin with all the modern comforts and a short drive to a town with everything you’d need- this is perfect. I hope to stay again with my fiancé!" - Ashley

COUNTRY HAVEN, SOUTH HAVEN

"Laura and Matt were super quick to respond to all texts, which is so appreciated. The house had plenty of room for all 13 of us. There was one large sitting area/living space for everyone, the old front porch/entry room had been converted to a game room of sorts, for the kids, and they spent a lot of time in there! The back deck was perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning and for having a second space to gather and hang out together (plenty of seating). We utilized the beautifully made wooden picnic table to play lots of games.  The kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed.  The property was large, with old impressive trees and felt super private, but it was so close to everything! Three Blonde's Brewing was maybe 2 minutes away, getting to the beach was a breeze, and we even checked out a winery that was 8 minutes away.  The kids had a blast making s'mores over the fire and running around playing hide and seek (inside and outside of the house)." - Elizabeth

"Excellent stay at the South Haven House. Everything was clean, and in great working order with everything you can think of needing during a stay in a beach town. We traveled with our teen/young adult children and had no trouble during our stay. Excellent amenities and conveniences that made our family time even more accessible and enjoyable. Lovely yard, great location, family friendly home that lends itself to get togethers. Could not think of anyway to improve. Favorite features: two washers & dryers, plenty of bedrooms, two main floor bathrooms, circle driveways, great open shared space in living room and kitchen." -Cynthia
"Adorable, rustic cabin, that’s well stocked with great amenities. Arrowhead A-frame is in the perfect location for trips to the state park! The cabin is the perfect space to unwind and relax. The hot tub was amazing, the fire pit fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking. The bedrooms were comfy and adorable. It was a great relaxing weekend." - Jessica

"I don't say this lightly: among one of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in. Hot tub, fire pit, lake access, cabin vibes, and amenities of home: it really does not get any better than this. Laura and Matt are solid communicators - they are quick to respond and thorough with the information they provide. If you are looking for a cozy, quiet retreat in rural Michigan, this place is the gold standard." - John

"Laura and Matt's cabin is the perfect secluded getaway. We loved the decor, the numerous living spaces, and what appears to be a newly renovated bathroom. We selected the cabin for the hot tub, and we were not disappointed. The tub is very secluded with trees growing up all around it. The amenities were great. Everything was very clean, and there was a dishwasher so we could keep it clean during the stay. Though there is a propane-based heating system to quickly get the temperature you want in the cabin, the primary heating is this pellet burning stove in the living room. It's so easy to use, looks really nice, and kept us very toasty all weekend. I'm a big fan. All around I would definitely suggest the A-Frame for any winter trip. Thank you Laura and Matt!" - Eric
